Slipstream, is slipping between two different parts of Space. It's best defined in Halo than StarTrek.

Tesseracting.

And Slipstream from the TV series Andromeda was pretty neat and fairly in depth sometimes. There's also the BSG Jump Drive

Space-folding, like in Robotech (which I think is the same as BSG), or Wave Motion Drives like in Space Battleship Yamato, AKA Star Blazers.

There is also Transwarp (most known due to voyager), and what was the name of the FTL method used by the antagonist aliance on ST:ENT?

Sub-Space Vortex i think, it could get from some ware to earth (50 ly) with in a day, one of the fastest drives in Star trek.

24th Century Warp, could only go about 2 light years a day at High warp.

I don't get it... If they later joined the UFP, it would have been a good idea to have Sub-space drives on their spaceships... Even in ENT alternate future I guess the Enterprise used warp :S

correct me if I'm wrong

There are est 400 billion planets in the Milky Way.
The Milky Way, is 100,00 Ly long, wide, ect.

Now if you do 400,000,000,000 / 100,000 you get 4 million planets per a light year. Is this believable or just maths?
