i think so. you know how for ex

y=8x+12
x=3y+3

you can solve it out to figure out what y and x equals. i think that's what jtull's saying you can't do on paper

you can't do it numerically.

well, you can do this:

1/1=1
1/10=0.1
1/100=0.01
1/100=0.001
1/1000=0.0001
1/10000=0.00001
1/100000=0.000001
1/1000000=0.0000001
(ad infinitum)
1/∞=0?

well, the theory is this: if you divide 1 by a number that keeps getting bigger, thus keeps getting closer to ∞ , the answer will keep getting smaller and coming closer to 0. so does that mean that 1/∞=0?

no what you dont understand is the 1 is infinatly larger than zero. just as light is infinatly brighter than dark.
