The background on the post box as well as the address bar is a bright blue, and the text is white. I can barely make it out. (My school blocks almost all pictures too, so that may be a factor...)

ohhhhh, hmmm, hold on, i might be able to make it a bit better for you, everyone else won't notice it, but where you can't get pics, you will. I don't get what's with everyone's school blocking pics, our blocking service only blocked whole sites and things with keywords and content searches

there, the background is pure black, so it doesn't get any darker then that

This is what I meant. In my school, the background of every post alternates color between bright blue and black. The background of the site itself however is fine.

But now that I am looking at this from a home computer, I must say...holy s**t. That, and do me next.
