My god... I'm so screwed... I think i failed the test... Not because i couldnt do the questions, but because i couldnt do them in time. I came like half an hour late, so i only got 50 minutes to do the whole thing instead of the standard 80. I'm not sure i even did the 60% required to get a G...

It's going to be a big blow to my grade, but i might be able to straighten it out if i get a VG on thursday's swedish test.

Yeah... You can say that... You have to get at least a G in swedish, english and math to be eligible to a ''real'' high school course, which in turn is needed to go on to university. If i dont get at least decent grades (G) on the majority of swedish sub courses (like reading apprehension, writing, grammar), i'll fail the entire course. I'll most likely get an IG (meaning i dont pass)on reading apprehension if i've failed the test.

By the way, the new skin is frakking awesome.

thanks. that truly is a stupid school system you have. They're trying to judge a whole person's academic ability with one test, sheesh, it''s scientifically proven that people do worse on tests

Not only one test. It's several different tests for the entire subject, but only one test for each sub subject. I'll try to explain in more detail.

Each subject is made up of several different subjects. For an example, science is chemistry, biology, physics and engineering (i think that's what it's called in english... It's teknik in swedish, but i'm not sure how to translate it...). You have to get a majority of G's to pass the subject ( i think... It could be a predefined amount of points, but a majority of G's is more likely.).

We have 4 grades. IG (fail) G (pass, barely) VG (Pass) and MVG (Pass with good margin). You get 0 points for IG, 5 points for G, 10 for VG and 15 for MVG. Let's say you get a G in biology, an MVG in chemistry, an IG in engineering and a G in physics. You would get 25 points from the science subject which would go on to your final grade, which is the total amount of points you got from all the courses. You will need to pass english swedish and math and finish with a certain amount of points to go to a real high school course. If you fail one of the 3 core subjects or end up with less than the required amount of points, you're not going to be able to even apply to the major high school courses. You cant even apply to a proper course. There are of course a few courses for people who fail, but all those lead to crappy jobs.

My schooling system works this way:
There are approximately 7 subjects, more if you include extra classes or special subjects. Currently I'm taking English, Maths, Science, Mother Tongue, History, Literature, geography(later this year), Art, Art Elective Program, Info Technology.

*Yikes!*

Some kind of american drink. It's famous because of it's 90's ads. A pitcher full of cool aid would break through a wall into a room of thirsty kids, shouting '' Oh yeeeeaaaah''. Never tasted it and i dont even know what kind of drink it is (only thing i know is that it's cold..).

Being an American myself, I've never had it, but I know it is sold as a powder that you can mix with water to give it flavor.
