How big is the size of atlantis (the number that you put in the size description on the ship plugin)?
I think that, if you put it smaller, it will lower the prestige requirement (I think).

The size is eight, but I believe it's more related with the health...

No, life is the Hull+Shield alteration - size regard to power.

And this is a inactive supergate.

are you going to make the super gates activate when you double click or hail them?

If your parents never had children, the chances are you won't either

I don't think so... The inactive supergate was made by JPB18, not by me, so, i'm not related to any of that stuff...

Even if I knew how to do that... I mean, i know how to make a button that triggers an animation, but not when mixed with a game as complex as flashgate...

EDIT: Hey, guys! The mass is related to prestige, after all. When mass is 8, it's superior to 110, when mass is 7, it's between 100% and 110%, and when mass is 6, prestige is 100%. I've adjusted all the ships I had already made to match...

Hmm, that's a very interesting prospect about the mass = prestige. I will take that account in my ongoing plugging of FlashTrek.

I was thinking of turning wormhole generators in my 'Parallels' (otherwise known as 'when universes collide') project into Stargates. Not supergates, although compared to the size of some of these ships it would be needed, realistically speaking. Still, you might be able to do a neat animation with the wormhole sprites. That supergate would therefore be HUGE naturally and open with an animation! It depends though. Are you working with Macromedia Studio, or just Notepad?

Who are you talking to?

If you are talking to me, then:

1. I'm working with Adobe Flash CS3 (Adobe bought Macromedia a while ago)

2. I'm replacing wormhole generators with supergates, not wormholes...

3. I'm leaving the wormholes intact... What I might do is add more wormholes to the universe, instead of having only the bajoran wormhole...

4. JPB18 is replacing the wormhole with the supergate

5. Making that open thing isn't that easy, you know?

Not necessarily, as you know that in DS9, the wormhole should have at least 1 mile lenght, but in BM, the wormhole is little larger than the sovvie

...and open with an animation!

That is also not needed, as a good sg-1 fan would know, a stargate (that includes a supergate), can be open indefinitely in the prezence of a ZPM or a Black Hole, and has both supergates have a black hole behind, so, they can be opened indefenitely.

PS: This is the first game flash based that I make in my entire life! ( I had the help of darkwing, darkjedi and raffitz).

Yes, who else would I be talking to? >>

You commented in one of your above posts about 'not being sure how to do an animation' so that's what I offered. The wormhole uses many different animation sprites, though you might have to do a bit of editing about the relative size. It would be easy, but if you just don't care to do that and make the supergate a common occurrence, then do whatever. It's your mod, and I can't wait to try it Basketball

Not necessarily, as you know that in DS9, the wormhole should have at least 1 mile lenght, but in BM, the wormhole is little larger than the sovvie

About the first quote, I'm not sure how that is relevant to the supergate. Most likely the wormhole is larger but being made of pure energy certainly puts it's mass well within the range of the supergate. Not to mention it wouldn't matter when one can easily control the size and animation aspects of it.

About the second quote. Calling me a non-stargate fan? XD Though I haven't seen many recent episodes, I've read a lot about them and I see your point. Though how many of those wormhole generators are going to have a black hole near it? And a ZPM maybe... Though the animation is not needed as you said, I never said it had to be put in there. From raffitz's statement, I was offering a suggestion on how to make one, which would be cool but obviously we're not going to see one Sad

1st: I didn't call you a non-stargate fan, but I used that expression because I couldn't take the risk to say "As everyone knows..."
cause there must be at least one person on this forum that isn't a stargate fan.
2nd: In Flash and Blood (10.01) or in Pegasus Project (10.06), we don't see the singularity or the black hole behind the SUPERGATE (not the stargate in pegasus, as the black hole was DA*N visible).

Calm yourselves down!

I'm NOT adding the bloody supergate as wormhole, and i never said i would!

I'm adding it as wormhole generator.

I'm NOT making it animated, and i don't want it to be animated!!!!!!!

JPB18 wants to replace the wormhole with the supergate! Not me! So if you want to keep discussing the blast supergate, go to HIS thread!

I DON'T WANT IT ANIMATED! I never said i did! People sugested that, i said it would be complicated, but if you read carefully, you'll also notice:

I don't think that's the most appropriate thing to say... Jerome could be offended with that...

(You can notice that i'm a bit calmer now...)

EDIT:

Good news, guys! More than a half of the ships are ready! (I've made 18 out of 34...)

No, I'm not offended. You just mentioned it, I offered the suggestion. But DARN, I'll never offer another one again. Sad
